RAN Sharing

The RAN Sharing provides the joint use of equipment that make up the access network of Mobile Networks (Radio Base Stations) and interconnect the control elements and the network switch to provide the SMP (“Personal Mobile Service”).

The wide-scale adoption of the 4th generation mobile technology with the reciprocal Radio Access Network Media (RAN Sharing) transfer in the LTE and 3G networks is an innovation in the development of network management models, already aligned with the prospects of future technological development.

Network Interconnection

We now have local access to major national and international content of the global Internet through data interconnections (Peering).

Our Peering agreements are 100% redundant, ensuring network reliability and high availability. TIM is also present in the main Internet Exchange Points (PTT) of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Fortaleza.

TIM is also one of IPv6 supporters in Brazil and has a broad portfolio of solutions already considering this approach.
